The Concept of a Federation

The stakes for the war with the Bolsheviks affected not only the fate of Poland, but also that of Central Europe in its entirety . Józef Piłsudski believed that he would be able to forge a federation of Central European states that would be able to oppose Russia . His federation was to be based on states and nations which had historically been a part of the Republic of Poland.

Welcome!

Look at the map and select 3 countries (by clicking on their territory), which I want to include in my federation concept. Let me give you a hint. Look at the borders from 1772, I want to base my plan on those! If the contours of the country fill with colour:

  • your choice was correct
  • these are the states that I consider allies of the future federation
  • unfortunately, we do not think alike.
Selected countries:

- -

Polish borders after 1921

- -

Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth borders in 1772
